5.8 Internationalization

GNU standards (and GNU in general) make fairly simplistic assumptions about other languages. For example, it is said that the plural form is decided by the number of objects being equal to one or not, and assume this can handle any language, no matter how it forms the plural of the word.... In fact, this is true only for English and a small subset of all other languages. A few of us are trying to consider this problem with broader eyes and mind.
