libpxmutils - Converts from numerical to string format

'libpxmutils' includes a number of useful functions that convert from numerical format to string format. These are implemented, using standard C functions (or glib ones). Also widely used are the funtions that deal with the PxmMasspair object (a utility object that encapsulates two masses: one average mass and one monoisotopic mass). The extensibily mechanism devised in the GNU polyxmass mass spectrometry software suite is based on a PxmProp object that is implemented in this library also.

'libpxmutils' is part of the 'polyxmass' package of Project GNU.
