Moodss - Modular System Monitoring Software

Moodss (the Modular Object Oriented Dynamic SpreadSheet) displays data described and updated in modules loaded at startup time or dynamically. Data is displayed in tables, but users can create graphical viewers, summary tables, free text viewers, and threshold entries from table cells.

Moodss has full drag'n'drop support in the UI, and comes with numerous modules for system, database, network, and other types of monitoring. New modules can be developed in Tcl, Perl, Python, or C. A monitoring daemon (moomps) for UNIX is included: it activates emails and scripts upon threshold conditions and monitors data over time, via storage in a MySQL or any ODBC compliant database, for post analysis by common software (spreadsheets, for example).
