This is the README for Geo::Postcodes::JP version 0.014.

Geo::Postcodes::JP is a "module" for the Perl computer programming language, a
library of computer code to install on a computer.  This document contains four
sections:

1. ABOUT

Geo::Postcodes::JP - handle Japan Post Office postal code data

This package contains a series of modules for handling the files of
postcodes supplied by Japan Post. "Geo::Postcodes::JP::Update"
downloads the data files.  "Geo::Postcodes::JP::Process" parses the
data files, and can improve the data.  "Geo::Postcodes::JP::DB"
inserts the postcode data read by the processing module into an SQLite
database. The main module provides a way to access the postcodes in an
existing SQLite database.

3. INSTALLATION

This module requires Perl version 5.8.9 or later.

To install the module from CPAN, use

    cpan Geo::Postcodes::JP

If you have the App::cpanminus installer, you may prefer

    cpanm Geo::Postcodes::JP

To install the module from the source file, Geo-Postcodes-JP-0.014.tar.gz,
follow this sequence of commands:

    tar xfz Geo-Postcodes-JP-0.014.tar.gz
    cd Geo-Postcodes-JP-0.014
    perl Makefile.PL
    make
    make install

If you want to test the module before installing it, use "make test" after
"make" and before "make install".
