Perl6-Subs This module implements much of the Perl 6 subroutine definition syntax for Perl 5 code. It's a source filter, so it can be broken easily. Run 'perldoc lib/Perl6/Subs.pm' to read all about it. SAMPLE CODE use Perl6::Subs; { package SomeClass; method something { $self->other } method other ( $me: ) { $me->yet_another( joe => 1 ) } method yet_another ( +$joe ) { $joe ? $self->foo : $self->bar } } sub foo ( str $a, Int $b, SomeClass ?$c ) { print $a, ":", $b + ($c ? $c->something : 0); } WARNINGS YOU SHOULD NOT IGNORE * Do not use parameter names that turn into Perl quoting operators when their sigils are stripped: "$y", "$m", "@tr", "@q", etc. * Avoid putting comments into subroutine declarations. * Perl 6 prototypes do not imply Perl 5 prototypes.
