SIEMENS Win32 PERL BUILD Version 1.3 11-Apr-2001

This build is a ready to install build of Perl 5.6.1 with modules
for the Windows 32 environment. It is known to work on Windows NT and
Windows 2000 and Win9x, however not all modules have been tested.

Installation:
-------------

(1) It is best to remove any previous version of perl and reboot
    before installation.

(2) The zip/exe will unpack to the following files/directories by
    default:

	C:\perl\5.6.1\...  		(lots of sub dirs)
	C:\perl\site\5.6.1\... 	(lots of sub dirs)
	
    If you wish to install into different directories or are running
    on Win95/98 then unpack to a diffent directory and then move the
    files/dirs to the desired location.

(3) Add the following dirs to your path:

	C:\perl\5.6.1\bin\
	C:\perl\5.6.1\bin\MSWin32-x86

(4) You may wish to associate .pl files in Explorer/Filemanage with:

	C:\perl\5.6.1\bin\MSWin32-x86\perl.exe
