SIEMENS IRIX PERL BUILD Version 1 10-Oct-2002

This build is a ready to install build of Perl 5.8.0 with modules
for the Linux environment. It is known to work on IRIX6.5.x on Indy R5000
and Origin200 hardware however not all modules have been tested.

 SiePerl-5.8.0-bin-1.0-IRIX6.5.INSTALL.IP22.tar.gz - tar file of perl installation.

NOTE The module list is best viewed in your favourite spreadsheet.

Installation:
-------------

(1) It is best to remove any previous version of perl before installation.

(2) The gzipped tar file will unpack the following files/directories:

	bin/...
	lib/...
        include/...
	man/...
     into /usr/local
