The RTI860 is a 16 single ended/8 differential channel 12bit A/D conversion board. Input may be +/-5V or +/-10V. Sampling rates up to 250kHz (12bit) are possible. What makes the board particularly suited for use with a multitasking operating system like Linux is its on-board 256k samples memory. Even at high sampling rates, the device driver can be quite lazy when collecting the data from the board, resulting in a still good interactive response of the system.

This package includes the device driver as a loadable module as well as the program rti860set which is a command line interface to the ioctl()-call used to set parameters of the driver or the board, like sampling frequency, channels to sample, type of trigger, type of clock, restart mode in case of buffer overrun, etc.
