This device drivers allows access to a VME-Bus via a Tundra Semiconductor PCI/VME Bridge. Along with the driver (wich is still in a very early stage, so beware!) comes a program to read or write to/from the VMEBus. It can serve as debugging tool and as an example of how to use the driver, since the documentation in the ./doc directory is a bit sparse... 2. Installation. The driver should work with any Linux 2.0.XX kernel, and is configured (in the Makefile, see there) to use version info on modules. All tests were done on an ELTEC E128 with P120, 32MB Ram and Linux 2.0.27. To build the driver module along with the support programs, just type make install The Makefile will also create the necessary device files in /dev. The major device number used is 61, choosen from the local/experimental use range. 3. Bugs, wishes and comments.
