Review:  Let {an } be a finite or infinite sequence of real numbers for which 1 < a1 \leq a2 \leq ..., sum an-1 < oo. The authors deduce the relation f0(x) = o(x) from fo(x)+sum f0 (x/an) = o(x), as x ––> oo, under various supplementary conditions on f0(x) and {an }.
