Check out the Cypress and Philips Web Sites. They both
have microcontrollers with integrated USB interfaces. You
should be able to find one that has AD and DA converters
as well.

You antire system should be just one chip, plus the analog
front end. At least thats what I would be shooting for. You
might have to add external ram and ROM/flash as well.
