The pathname for bulletins is ddn-news/ddn-mgt-bulletin-nn.txt (where "nn" is the bulletin number). *********************************************************************** SUBJECT: NSF Transition and New Default Gateway Assignment REQUEST NODE SITE COORDINATORS AND HOST ADMINISTRATORS DISSEMINATE THIS INFORMATION TO ALL DDN USERS 1. Please be advised that the National Science Foundation (NSF) will no longer provide Internet network services effective May 1995. Internet services will be provided by four commercial vendors and this transition will have an impact on DoD users. As a result of these changes, the PILOT Net will no longer advertise network 140.222.0.0 as a default network. 2. To minimize any disruption in network services, REQUEST DDN USERS CHANGE THEIR DEFAULT NETWORK ASSIGNMENT FROM 140.222.0.0 to 137.209.0.0 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, BUT NOT LATER THAN 28 APRIL 1995. Please note that if the default network assignment is not changed, users will no longer have access to the Internet. 3.
