The parser has a dictionary of about 60000 word forms. It covers a
range of syntactic constructions, including many rare and idiomatic
ones. The parser skips over the portions of the sentence that it
cannot understand, and assigns some structure to the rest of the
sentence. It can handle unknown vocabulary, and makes intelligent
guesses from context and spelling about the syntactic categories of
unknown words. It understands capitalization, numerical expressions,
and various punctuation symbols.
