Guile Startup Time

There has been some concern (and a lot of discussion) about Guile's startup time. Here are some thoughts on reducing that time.

Compiling Guile

Bernard Urban has done some patches for the Hobbit compiler, making it work with Guile. This information is antiquated and should be updated.
