GNU Thales is an IRC to Database Gateway. It connects to your IRC network as a service, and converts messages it receives to SQL queries to update the database. It collects data about users, channels and server. It doesn't build stats itself, however, it gives you the database, it's up to you how you use it.
Current stable version is: 1.0
Thales can be found on http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/thales/ [via http] and ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/thales/ [via FTP]. It can also be found on one of our FTP mirrors.
There is no documentation ready yet!
Thales now has two mailing lists: <thales-announce@gnu.org> and <thales-misc@gnu.org>.
The main discussion list is <thales-misc@gnu.org>, and is used to discuss all aspects of Thales, including development and porting.
Announcements about Thales are made on <thales-announce@gnu.org>.
To subscribe to any Thales mailing list, please send an empty mail with a Subject: header line of just "subscribe" to the relevant -request list. For example, to subscribe yourself to the main list, you would send mail to <thales-misc-request@gnu.org> with no body and a Subject: header line of just "subscribe".
If you think you have found a bug in Thales, then you should send a report as complete as possible to <thales-misc@gnu.org>.
If you would like any new feature to be included in future versions of Thales, please send a request to <thales-misc@gnu.org>.
Please remember that development of Thales is a volunteer effort, and you can also contribute to its development. For information about contributing to the GNU Project, please read <thales-misc@gnu.org>. You also may look at our archives thales-misc
