INSTRUCTIONS for making a shared library of tk:

This is a file to create a new Makefile.in from the standard distribution
of tcl6.3
This expects gcc (v2.something, that uses the "-shared" option)
This was created on a sparc running Solaris 2.3, with the kanji patched
sources.
However, it should work Just Fine on the regular stuff, as long as you
have the aforementioned gcc.

Run 
  patch <thisfile
in the tk6.3 directory, and it should rewrite your "Makefile.in".
(alternatively, if you use "patch -p", it will create "Makefile.in.shared")

Ater running patch, run "configure" as normal,etc, etc
