                       TITLE 12--BANKS AND BANKING
 
               CHAPTER 1--THE COMPTROLLER OF THE CURRENCY
 
Sec. 12. Seal of Comptroller

    The seal devised by the Comptroller of the Currency for his office, 
and approved by the Secretary of the Treasury, shall continue to be the 
seal of office of the comptroller, and may be renewed when necessary. A 
description of the seal, with an impression thereof, and a certificate 
of approval by the Secretary of the Treasury, shall be filed in the 
office of the Secretary of State.

                          Codification

    R.S. Sec. 330 derived from act June 3, 1864, ch. 106, Sec. 2, 13 
Stat. 100, which was the National Bank Act. See section 38 of this 
title.

                  Exception as to Transfer of Functions

    Functions vested by any provision of law in Comptroller of the 
Currency, referred to in this section, not included in transfer of 
functions to Secretary of the Treasury, see note set out under section 1 
of this title.
