    Section 1716-1, acts Oct. 30, 1951, ch. 642, 65 Stat. 599; June 30, 
1953, ch. 170, Sec. 14, 67 Stat. 125, related to special authority of 
the Federal National Mortgage Association to make advance commitments, 
under certain conditions, with respect to insured cooperative-housing 
mortgages under section 1715e of this title.
    Section 1716a, act Sept. 1, 1951, ch. 378, title VI, Sec. 608(a), 65 
Stat. 315, required that one of the persons constituting the Board of 
Directors of the Federal National Mortgage Association be appointed by 
the Administrator of Veterans' Affairs from among personnel of the 
Veterans' Administration.
