                         TITLE 16--CONSERVATION
 
   CHAPTER 1--NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES
 
                SUBCHAPTER XIV--CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK
 
Sec. 121. Establishment; boundaries

    In order to preserve for the benefit, education, and inspiration of 
the people of the United States certain unique and ancient volcanic 
features, including Crater Lake, together with significant forest and 
fish and wildlife resources, there is hereby established the Crater Lake 
National Park in the State of Oregon. The boundary of the park shall 
encompass the lands, waters, and interests therein within the area 
generally depicted on the map entitled, ``Crater Lake National Park, 
Oregon'', numbered 106-80-001-A, and dated March 1981, which shall be on 
file and available for public inspection in the office of the National 
Park Service, Department of the Interior. Lands, waters, and interests 
therein within the boundary of the park which were within the boundary 
of any national forest are excluded from such national forest and the 
boundary of such national forest is revised accordingly.

                               Amendments

    1982--Pub. L. 97-250 substituted ``numbered 106-80-001-A, and dated 
March 1981'' for ``numbered 106-80,001, and dated February 1980''.
    1980--Pub. L. 96-553 substituted provisions relating to 
establishment and map depicting boundaries of Crater Lake National Park 
for provisions setting out latitude and longitude of Crater Lake 
National Park and dedication of such Park.


           Disposition of Excluded Lands, Water, and Interests

    Section 1(b) of Pub. L. 97-250 provided that: ``Lands, water, and 
interests therein excluded from the boundary of Crater Lake National 
Park by subsection (a) [amending this section] are hereby made a part of 
the Rogue River National Forest, and the boundary of such national 
forest is revised accordingly.''
