Sec. 1439. Regulations

    The Secretary may issue such regulations as may be necessary to 
carry out this chapter.

                            Prior Provisions

    A prior section 308 of Pub. L. 92-532 was classified to section 1438 
of this title, prior to repeal by section 203(1) of Pub. L. 100-627.


                               Amendments

    2000--Pub. L. 106-513 amended section catchline and text generally. 
Prior to amendment, text read as follows: ``If any provision of this Act 
or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held 
invalid, the validity of the remainder of this Act and of the 
application of such provision to other persons and circumstances shall 
not be affected thereby.''
