                         TITLE 16--CONSERVATION
 
         CHAPTER 45--URBAN PARK AND RECREATION RECOVERY PROGRAM
 
Sec. 2511. Recordkeeping; audit and examination; access to books 
        and records
        
    Each recipient of assistance under this chapter shall keep such 
records as the Secretary shall prescribe, including records which fully 
disclose the amount and disposition of project undertakings in 
connection with which assistance under this chapter is given or used, 
and the amount and nature of that portion of the cost of the project or 
undertaking supplied by other sources, and such other records as will 
facilitate an effective audit. The Secretary, and the Comptroller 
General of the United States, or their duly authorized representatives, 
shall have access for the purpose of audit and examination to any books, 
documents, papers, and records of the recipient that are pertinent to 
assistance received under this chapter.

                          ``Secretary'' Defined

    Secretary means the Secretary of the Interior, see section 2 of Pub. 
L. 95-625, set out as a note under section 2503 of this title.
