Sec. 1452. Lading on Sundays, holidays, or at night

    No merchandise or baggage entered for transportation under bond or 
for exportation with the benefit of drawback, or other merchandise or 
baggage required to be laden under customs supervision, shall be laden 
on any vessel or vehicle at night or on Sunday or a holiday, except 
under special license therefor to be issued by the appropriate customs 
officer under the same conditions and limitations as pertain to the 
unlading of imported merchandise or merchandise being transported in 
bond.

                            Prior Provisions

    Provisions similar to those in this section were contained in act 
Sept. 21, 1922, ch. 356, title IV, Sec. 452, 42 Stat. 955. That section 
was superseded by section 452 of act June 17, 1930, comprising this 
section, and repealed by section 651(a)(1) of the 1930 act.


                               Amendments

    1970--Pub. L. 91-271 substituted reference to appropriate customs 
officer for reference to collector.
