Sec. 117c. Disposal of used or surplus automobiles and trucks by 
        Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of Senate; procedure; deposit of 
        receipts
        
    On and after October 1, 1982, the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of 
the Senate is authorized to dispose of used or surplus automobiles and 
trucks by trade-in or by sale through the General Services 
Administration. Receipts from the sale of such automobiles and trucks 
shall be deposited in the United States Treasury for credit to the 
appropriation for ``Automobiles and Maintenance'' under the heading 
``Contingent Expenses of the Senate''.

    Section is based on section 102 of S. 2939, Ninety-seventh Congress, 
2d Session, as reported Sept. 22, 1982, and incorporated by reference in 
section 101(e) of Pub. L. 97-276, to be effective as if enacted into 
law.
