                        Effective Date of Repeal

    Repeal effective Oct. 17, 1980, see section 2403(d)(1) of Pub. L. 
96-465, set out as an Effective Date note under section 3901 of this 
title.


                          Mandatory Retirement

    Act Aug. 13, 1946, ch. 957, title XI, Sec. 1111, 60 Stat. 1034, 
which related to mandatory retirement of certain Foreign Service 
officers, was repealed by Pub. L. 96-465, title II, Sec. 2205(1), Oct. 
17, 1980, 94 Stat. 2159.
