Sec. 1665f. Reports


(a) Compilation of data

    The Secretary, with respect to the administration of any health 
program by a service unit, directly or through contract, including a 
contract under the Indian Self-Determination Act [25 U.S.C. 450f et 
seq.], shall require the compilation of data relating to the number of 
cases or incidents in which any Service personnel or services were 
involved and which were related, either directly or indirectly, to 
alcohol or substance abuse. Such report shall include the type of 
assistance provided and the disposition of these cases.

(b) Referral of data

    The data compiled under subsection (a) of this section shall be 
provided annually to the affected Indian tribe and Tribal Coordinating 
Committee to assist them in developing or modifying a Tribal Action Plan 
under section 2412 of this title.

(c) Comprehensive report

    Each service unit director shall be responsible for assembling the 
data compiled under this section and section 2434 of this title into an 
annual tribal comprehensive report. Such report shall be provided to the 
affected tribe and to the Director of the Service who shall develop and 
publish a biennial national report based on such tribal comprehensive 
reports.
