                            TITLE 25--INDIANS
 
  CHAPTER 12--LEASE, SALE, OR SURRENDER OF ALLOTTED OR UNALLOTTED LANDS
 
Sec. 396e. Officials authorized to approve leases

    The Secretary of the Interior may, in his discretion, authorize 
superintendents or other officials in the Indian Service to approve 
leases for oil, gas, or other mining purposes covering any restricted 
Indian lands, tribal or allotted.
