             CHAPTER 3--PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND WORKS GENERALLY
 
Sec. 298d. Naming and renaming of buildings

    The Administrator of General Services is authorized, notwithstanding 
any other provision of law, to name, rename, or otherwise designate any 
building under the custody and control of the General Services 
Administration, regardless of whether it was previously named by 
statute.

                               Amendments

    1958--Pub. L. 85-542 struck out requirement of approval by Bureau of 
the Budget for change or rechange of name or designation.

                          Transfer of Functions

    Functions of Federal Works Agency and of all agencies thereof, 
together with functions of Federal Works Administrator transferred to 
Administrator of General Services by section 103(a) of act June 30, 
1949, which is classified to section 753(a) of this title. Federal Works 
Agency and office of Federal Works Administrator abolished by section 
103(b) of act June 30, 1949.
