Sec. 490i. Buildings considered to be federally owned

    For the purposes of this authorization, and on and after October 21, 
1998, buildings constructed pursuant to the purchase contract authority 
of the Public Buildings Amendments of 1972 (40 U.S.C. 602a), buildings 
occupied pursuant to installment purchase contracts, and buildings under 
the control of another department or agency where alterations of such 
buildings are required in connection with the moving of such other 
department or agency from buildings then, or thereafter to be, under the 
control of the General Services Administration shall be considered to be 
federally owned buildings.
