             TITLE 40--PUBLIC BUILDINGS, PROPERTY, AND WORKS
 
             CHAPTER 14--SAFETY STANDARDS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
 
Sec. 702. Commercial standards for passenger safety devices; 
        publication in Federal Register
        
    The Administrator of General Services shall prescribe and publish in 
the Federal Register commercial standards for such passenger safety 
devices as he may require under authority of section 701 of this title. 
The standards first established under this section shall be prescribed 
and published not later than one year from August 30, 1964.

                     Change of Commercial Standards

    Change of standards first established under this section effective 
one year and ninety days after the date of publication of such changed 
standards, see section 4 of Pub. L. 88-515, set out as an Effective Date 
note under section 701 of this title.
