               CHAPTER 16--GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION
 
Sec. 761a. Consumer Information Center Fund; acceptance and 
        expenditure of gifts
        
    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Consumer Information 
Center may accept and deposit to this account, during fiscal year 1998 
and hereafter, gifts for the purpose of defraying its costs of printing, 
publishing, and distributing consumer information and educational 
materials and undertaking other consumer information activities; may 
expend those gifts for those purposes, in addition to amounts 
appropriated or otherwise made available; and the balance shall remain 
available for expenditure for such purpose.

                          Codification

    Section was enacted as part of the Departments of Veterans Affairs 
and Housing and Urban Development, and Independent Agencies 
Appropriations Act, 1998, and not as part of the Federal Property and 
Administrative Services Act of 1949, part of which comprises this 
chapter.
