               subpart ii--tenant-based rental assistance
 
Sec. 11404a. Housing assistance

    An eligible person on behalf of whom assistance is provided under 
this subpart shall select the unit in which such person will live using 
rental assistance under this subpart; except that where necessary to 
assure that the provision of supportive services to persons is feasible, 
a recipient may require that a person participating in the program live 
(1) in a particular structure or unit for up to the first year of 
participation, and (2) within a particular geographic area for the full 
period of participation or the period remaining after the period 
referred to in paragraph \1\ (1).
