                       Part A--General Provisions
 
Sec. 3030c. Audit; request for information

    (a) The Assistant Secretary and the Comptroller General of the 
United States or any of their duly authorized representatives shall have 
access for the purpose of audit and examination to any books, documents, 
papers, and records that are pertinent to a grant or contract received 
under this subchapter.
    (b) State agencies and area agencies on aging shall not request 
information or data from providers which is not pertinent to services 
furnished pursuant to this chapter or a payment made for such services.
