Sec. 3901. Regulations for accommodations for export animals

    The Secretary of Agriculture may prescribe regulations governing the 
accommodations on board vessels for cattle, horses, mules, asses, sheep, 
goats, and swine to be carried from the United States to a foreign 
country. The regulations shall prescribe standards for space, 
ventilation, fittings, food and water supply, and other requirements the 
Secretary of Agriculture considers necessary for the safe and proper 
transportation and humane treatment of those animals. The Secretary of 
Agriculture may examine any vessel the Secretary of Agriculture 
considers necessary to carry out this chapter.

    Section 3901 contains the authority to regulate accommodations for 
the export of animals by the Secretary of Agriculture. The regulations 
shall prescribe standards for space and ventilation and any other 
requirements considered necessary.
