Sec. 403-1. Central Intelligence Agency

    There is a Central Intelligence Agency. The function of the Agency 
shall be to assist the Director of Central Intelligence in carrying out 
the responsibilities referred to in paragraphs (1) through (5) of 
section 403-3(d) of this title.

Community Staff prior to repeal by Pub. L. 102-496, title VII, 
Sec. 705(a)(1), Oct. 24, 1992, 106 Stat. 3190.


 Designation of Headquarters Compound of Central Intelligence Agency as 
                 the George Bush Center for Intelligence

    Pub. L. 105-272, title III, Sec. 309, Oct. 20, 1998, 112 Stat. 2403, 
provided that:
    ``(a) Designation.--The headquarters compound of the Central 
Intelligence Agency located in Langley, Virginia, shall be known and 
designated as the `George Bush Center for Intelligence'.
    ``(b) References.--Any reference in a law, map, regulation, 
document, paper, or other record of the United States to the 
headquarters compound referred to in subsection (a) shall be deemed to 
be a reference to the `George Bush Center for Intelligence'.''
