better solution is to install a full distribution of Linux.
Think me, you wast time upgrading gcc in muLinux.

You can easily compile module under 2.0.*, downloading the 2.0.36
source. But to compile the kernel itself require bash + a lot of
binutils related programs.


I'd like to conclude with a positive statement, but I can't
