hi,

I created /dev/hda1 for being the root partition.
I set the type of filesystem to 83 (Linux native).
Is it neccesary to format the disk? If it is how can I do that?

Thanks

Stephan

| Yes, it is possible. Boot from muLinux floppy and mount SRV addon.
| From that point, it is possible to create your root (and swap)
partition
| with fdisk. They you can clone to the hd.

| I have an old computer with an 100MB harddisk and an removeable
| harddisk. I want to run a ftpd to on the box to access the
removeable
| drive from other computers via lan.
| Is it possible to install muLinux on the harddisk without having dos
| or linux installed so far? I found nothing about it so far.
|
| thanks for any hint!
