I have enter nothing after the > prompt.

Is this correct?

Or do I have to enter '' after the > prompt?

the hostname is in setup/network, with other values shared by every
network interface (ppp, plip, etc.)

Put blank in the field, when setup ask you them.

in /etc/samba, but currenlty I cannot find them, sorry.
