This directory contains calibration files for ISIS 3 CISSCAL's dn to flux corrections. They are derived from Cassini Orbiter ISS Volume 11 Version 2 (i.e. coiss_0011_v2). AAREADME_offset_isis3.txt - This document, written for ISIS 3 CISSCAL info. offset_info.txt - Lists original calibration files used by IDL CISSCAL 3.6 The orignal offset calibration files were in vax format which isis3 does not currently handle, so isis2 was used to convert to floating point. As newer versions become available, the following steps can be used to convert them into cubes. 1) CREATE offset2isis2.pdf SCRIPT BEGIN SCRPIT WITH THE LINES procedure body BODY SHOULD CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING LINE FOR EACH *.img VAX FILE IN THE DIRECTORY: raw2isis from=vaxfilename.img to=vaxfilename.i2.cub itype=3 in_arch=vax ns=1024 nl=1 skip=4096 LAST LINE SHOULD READ end-proc 2) RUN SCRIPT IN isis2 > setisis isis2 > tae > offset2isis2 3) CONVERT isis2 CUBES TO isis3 CUBES > setisis isis3 > pds2isis from=vaxfilename.i2.cub to=vaxfilename.full.cub >reduce from=vaxfilename.full.cub to=vaxfilename.sum2.cub ons=512 onl=1 >reduce from=vaxfilename.full.cub to=vaxfilename.sum4.cub ons=256 onl=1 Note: It is also possible to convert these vax files to floating point by opening each of them in idl @cisscal and save them as *.img.cal files.
