Hi,

I think 50KB is a good order-of-magnitude estimate for RTEMS, too.   My guess 
is based on looking at the RTEMS 4.5.0 online library 
www.oarcorp.com/rtems/releases/4.5.0/rtemsdoc-4.5.0/share/rtemsdoc/html/index.html 
and looking at the memory requirements for various processors.   (Look in the 
Applications Supplements.)

I hope someone else has a more accurate answer.
