Thanks for your help.
You are right, the drivers are modules but in muLinux 5r7 there is no file
/etc/conf.modules like in my SUSE 5.x

conf.modules under SUSE:

alias eth0 ne
alias eth1 ne
options ne io=0x320
options ne io=0x300

it works but under muLinux I guess that this parameters have to be listed
under /modules/???. When I boot with the disk of muLinux there is a file
called ne.options (or simillar), the only line is:
io=0x320 (for my thirst ethernet card on ISA)
I have tried to add an secound line or to add the parameter behind a comma
but it didn´t work.

Can anybody help me?

>With the Driver as a Module: Most linux distributions use modular drivers
now (as opposed to having the driver built into the kernel). In the case of
PCI drivers, the module will typically detect all of the installed cards of
that brand model automatically. However, for ISA cards, probing for a card
is not a safe operation, and hence you typically need to supply the I/O base
address of the card so the module knows where to look. This information is
typically stored in the file /etc/conf.modules. "
