Some of the notation introduced previously [439*] was changed by Moffat in [440*]. The star referred to the real part, the hat
to the imaginary part of an object. What had been the symbol for the covariant derivative with respect to now
denoted the partial derivative. Moffat made reading of his 2nd paper even more uncomfortable as he employed Einstein’s
commonly accepted notation for covariant derivatives in a different sense: it now meant differentiation with respect to
the real and imaginary parts of the connection.
