The paper (in German) was not readily accessible outside the German speaking countries and carried the misleading title “Zur Theorie der Elementarteilchen” (About the theory of elementary particles) [532*]. Scherrer had seen a paper by Jordan & Müller [321] and had hastened to secure priority for himself [533].
