Beside that, such licences are for copyrighted product. But copyright
don't apply to manufactured product. But this is still a derivated
work of a copyrighted material. The licence apply to the code.

That's a bit tricky but that's the law.
(and there are specific law about "silicium" product but i don't know
precisely about it)
